How to Purchase Career Services

I hope everyone of you is looking for a better job opportunity and all of you have regustrered your resume to the top job portals like Naukri, shine, timesjobs, monster.

You might recieve calls also from various portals like Naukri, shine, timesjobs, monster.

What i suggest when you are planning to purchase a resume zapper service or resume boost from naurkri or timesjobs,
Think?

Who insisted you to purchase the service?

A sales call?

So when you have planned to buy the service keep a check
  • Company Representative Must call from an official landline phone
  • What ever is commited must be documented over the email for future prospect
  • Before making online payment do cross check that you are paying to the right party or not by dialing the customer care number of the respective job portal
  • Last but not least, do read the terms and conditions carefully before making a purchase
By this way
 '
You will be secure and save.

and you will not say you have been cheated by Naukri, shine, timesjobs, monster or other job portals anyway.
there will be no requirements to ask the refunds as well.
there will be no requirements to write bad reviews as well

precaution is always better than cure

Thanks

Job Alerts from Personal Networks

www.iajobs.in

Searching a new job or a job change?
 Where exactly you are searching?
Are you getting good job mailers from job portals? are they relevant?

Whenever we makeup our mind to search a job, what we simply do is we just Google for job portals  register with resume and apply to jobs or wait to see job mailers coming in the mailbox, thats what 901% of people are doing.

Well i suggest, jobs from personal contacts gives you more satisfaction rather than to search a job from a portal.

Few Ideas,
  • Keep on discussing with you old colleagues about the on going vacancies in the market
  • Build your social network (LinkedIn is a good source)
  • keep checking groups on Facebook relevant to your profile (it really works and gives a chance for discussions as well)
  • Look for few consultant who charge companies for placing the right candidate & don't charge from employes
  • check out websites relevant to your profile as every good company have an option careers on their site- keep on sending resume

Resume Written by Professional- When its really required?

I am seeing a trend, nowadays people are calling to the job seekers who are registered with their respected job portals ( even few are calling unnecessarily even job seekers didn't even registered their-self on their portal.

What they Exactly do?

They will give you a call with a greeting, after that they keep on probing you with questions and makes your interest in the conversations going on with them, this is a common technique of personalization.
So what happens, candidate gets personal with the telemarketing guy and he/she simply forgets about from which portal the telemarketing guy is calling up. Candidate even forget he/she have registered themselves with that job portal or not.

What next.

Telemarketing guy will ask for your resume and in the second call, there will be a one liner that your resume is not professional to showcase to the premium employers.

ITS JUST A SALES TECHNIQUE TO SELL THE RESUME, NOTHING ELSE.

When Really a PRO-RESUME is required?

Professional resume is basically to highlight the experience of the people who are having a great experience in a specialized field.

Ask yourself, what a fresher will highlight?
Educations?
Hobbies?
Or Internships?

For freshers and people who have 2-3 years of experience a simple resume is good for them, what they need to do is, they have to forward the resume at the right time to a right vacancy so that they can get better job opportunities.

As money is yours and i always say, telemarketing calls or job promissory calls will never ever give you any benefit.

Go ahead google for resume templates and remember before paying to a resume writer or a telemarketing person make sure you have tested enough templates to write resume by yourself, in case you are not satisfied you can go ahead and write a resume.

Our job portal also offers a resume writing service for all the Candidates.

Indian Job Seekers Vs Job Portals

Before Writing this post, i did a lot of research for the Indian Job Portals how they working what are the trends of job notifications, how much time a portal takes to send the resume to across the employers.

In India there are big names of few job portals so whenever we plan for a new job or a job change we just enter www.nauxxi,com , www.timexjsxx.com and upload the resume & wait for the employer to contact us. Somtimes we do apply to various jobs from our end as well.

But.

What the online reviews says?
Customers are crying due to many job portals, when we check consumer forums there are hundreds of complaints lying  few portals are having big brand names and few portals names we didn't even heard about them.

So How A Job Portal Earns? Whats the Benefit of a Job Portal by Giving us the Free Job Alerts?
That's the main Question ?

Job Portal Earns in Many ways let me tell you few of them
  1. Job Portal sells Job-seekers Database to Employers and Recruiters so that they can view the job-seekers resume and give them a call for the interview.
  2. Advertisements on the websites.
  3. Selling Emails to Other E commerce sites for Promotions.
  4. Selling Career Services, Like Resume Writing, Resume Forwarding, Verifications & Bla Bla Bla.

Career Services Trend- Nowadays

People receive phone call from the various job portals they say " We are calling from this this portal you have been selected. you will get your offer letter shortly, to get this opportunity you have to pay a registration amount xx xx and offer letter will be in your email inbox.

What Happens?

Customer is so excited and happy that he is selected with a big company and with a big salary package, in excitement he don't cares about spending few thousands & payment get processed.

What Next? Offer letter Comes or Not?

Either the salesman takes money completes his/her sales target & forget about it or if they are far behind their targets they pitch again to the same customer, there is problem in the processing of your offer letter we need few documents and all then again pitch an attachment product like verification services, the customer don't have any option again he makes another payment. ( That means he is in trap now)

After that same cycle goes on and on, they start torturing the customer either forget all the money or make a new payment for the job.

I don't know why there are no actions on the company for misrepresenting the products and a bar on this unethical selling.

How to Save Yourself / What to do when you receive a call from a Job Portal and asking for money.
  1. They will ask money for Resume, that your resume is not professional chances are less to get selected---- Simply Say, Thanks for the Info we have a resume writer in our family or Friends.
  2. They will say you have been selected with XYZ company and this is your joining date and offer letter and all---  Kindly Request them to send all this details in a documented format Via email and the email should me from a professional email id. ( Like David@jobsetc.com).
  3. If you receive a call from an unknown job portal where you haven't registered your resume- Cross check from where they have received your resume or phone number. Go the Google check the reviews and check it for a scam go to www.alexa.com check the site ranking in india and globe, compare it with other job portals you will see the difference. Scam Portal will have a Ranking in Ten Lakhs or Even they will not have a rank.
  4. DONT PAY A SINGLE MONEY FOR JOB
  5. Talk in a very professional way as the person who calls you up are the telemarketing people hired, they are hardly graduate and low IQ. Cross Question them as much as you can- Either they will hang up or regularly will keep your call on hold.
What if you have paid the Money?
  1.  Get Yourself aware and Open your eyes " For what you have paid the money" For a job as told by the sales guy on the phone or for a career service ? Match salesman words with the product that you have purchased.
  2. If you are not getting what is committed in 2 days or in a week- start writing regular emails to the customer care.
  3. Contact bank and ask for Charge back process if you have made a payment from Credit card.
  4. Contact the Payment Merchant and Bank, Payment merchant is the place where you have entered your card details there you will get the name of the merchant- they always help.
  5. In case you have made a bank deposit, Don't write online directly go to the court and police station lodge FIR & scan the copy and send to the Concerned Job Portal, Mark on everyemail.
Its your money even if they say you have read the terms and conditions then also go ahead and fight.
